Born in Munich, the author discovered her love of writing in Hamburg. After working as a bookseller, editor and publisher, she now enjoys the freedom of being a writer of novels for adults, children and juveniles. In the past, her attitude towards fairy tales was somewhat sceptical – which has changed dramatically when she set down to write this book.
